Discovery Communications Inc. has announced that it will license its name for a $1 billion eco-tourism park in Costa Rica.

President Luis Guillermo Solís confirmed the news on a Facebook post, and said the 810-hectare adventure park will be located in the province of Guanacaste.

Discovery Costa Rica is scheduled to open in late 2020, some 8 kilometers (5 miles) from Liberia, according to a news statement. The park will include outdoor activities such as rock climbing, hiking, scuba diving and other pursuits across four locations at beaches, parks and volcanoes. All of the park’s activities will focus on biodiversity and conservation, the statement said.

Richard Wirthlin, chairman of investor relations at Sun Latin America, the developer leading the project, said the facility will also include a water park, along with Discovery-branded hotels and restaurants.
